Maslow's Hierarchy

When considering the life I've led,
I focus on the insubstantial, first,
and the crucial things, second.

Within moments, 
If I'm thinking,

I appreciate there is no difference 

between these categories.

So I continue trying to get ahead,
through gambling on the greyhounds,
and crossing the street while reading 
the form guide.
